Let’s talk about SUCCESS.
Success is not just measured in acceptance letters or scholarship money (though, of course, those are a huge part of it!). My students’ success also includes increased confidence, greater clarity about themselves and their interests, and a personal understanding of why they want to attend the universities on their list.
Here’s what I focus on:
helping students identify & get into the best schools for them
helping them earn scholarship money
ensuring they are ready to take advantage of their future school’s unique offerings before classes begin
Success Case Studies
-
Case Study: Evangeline R.
Strengths: Excellent academic record, school leader, community service oriented
Challenges: uncertainty about her direction, ACT score good but not great, limited scope of college possibilities
Highlights: Increased ACT score from 27 to 32, admitted to Honors College & Leadership Institute, earned multiple scholarships worth more than $132,000 total
Evangeline had a strong academic record, but she wanted to improve her test scores and get more clarity about her future. She was also certain she wanted to stay in-state (Florida). She had yet to explore or imagine the possibilities.
Together, we worked to bring her ACT score up from a 27 to a 32, unlocking tens of thousands of dollars in Academic Merit Scholarships.
We also collaborated on a High Impact Project that allowed Evangeline to explore her interest in law. She shadowed lawyers, judges, and county officials, and gained clarity around her intended major and future career.
With my guidance, she grew that experience into the Marion County Young Ladies in Law program, giving other girls access to early career exploration and giving Evangelineunique competitiveness on her college applications.
The result?
She found her place at the University of Mississippi, where she was admitted to the school’s highly competitive Honors Program & Lott Leadership Program. Evangeline also earned more than $25,000 per year in Academic Merit scholarship and was one of 12 freshman to receive the Doris Raymond Honors Scholarship, valued at $32,000.

Case Study: Emma G.
Strengths: Dedicated student & athlete, passionate learner, goal-setter, clear academic path
Challenges: SAT score & high school activities were good but not great, first in her family to apply to college in the U.S.
Highlights: Increased SAT score from 1140 to 1330, developed a unique High Impact Project, earned a full-tuition scholarship plus $11,000 in additional scholarships
Emma was an incredibly hard-working student and lacrosse player. As a naturally more reserved person, she had not pursued traditional leadership opportunities in school. Where she saw a weakness, I helped her find an opportunity.
Emma was interested in a career in Finance but also felt unprepared to manage her own finances in college. So we developed a plan for Emma’s High Impact Project: proposing and organizing a College Finances 101 Workshop led by a local expert.
Emma organized everything, from booking the space, gathering the attendees, and helping to develop the focus of the workshop, resulting in an experience that had real-world and college application impact.
We also worked to bring her SAT score up from an 1160 to a 1330, securing her a full tuition scholarship!
By strengthening all elements of her application and helping her find high dollar scholarship opportunities, Emma earned another $11,000 in scholarships to use towards her college expenses.

Case Study: Daniel S.
Strengths: Excellent academic record, dedicated athlete, school leader, strong ACT score
Challenges: beating out the competition amongst other highly competitive candidates, using essays to connect and showcase mindset & character rather than revisit achievements
Highlights: Increased ACT score from 30 to 34, admitted to Honors College & Undergraduate Research Scholars, earned a full-tuition scholarship plus $32,000+ in additional scholarships
Daniel was one of those kids who excelled at everything: academics, sports, campus involvement, leadership. He was the Valedictorian, Student Body President, and Captain of the Lacrosse team. He should have been a shoe-in to any college, right?
His challenge, like many high achieving students like him, was to showcase himself in an unexpected way. When it comes to really impressing admissions officers, achievement alone is not enough. Through thoughtfully crafted essays, Daniel showed them a different side of himself, striking a delicate balance between humility, pride, and curiosity.
Through our work together, Daniel achieved three major goals: he raised his ACT score from a 30 to a 34, was admitted to the University of Florida’s highly competitive Honors Program, and reached beyond his comfort zone as an Undergraduate Research Scholar.
In addition to a full tuition scholarship, Daniel earned $32,000 through UF’s Gold Medallion Scholarship.
